ABIGAIL TAYLOR

Abigail Taylor, a 15-year-old singer/songwriter living in Brenham, TX shows us that the best of country comes from the heart. Often being referred to as an "old soul" with a young spirit, Abigail's unique voice and style of songwriting brings back the traditional old country sound with a modern-day twist.

At the young age of 8, Abigail's father, one of the biggest influences on her career, taught her how to play guitar. Her drive has led her to travel all over Texas doing what she loves most, playing country music for country music fans. Her dedication and hard work is paying off quickly and her passion for country music can be felt through the lyrics of her songs. In October 2016, she released her first single "Daddy's Little Girl" produced by Lyndon Hughes of Stormy Cooper Media. Her first single is a tribute to the dedication and hard work her father instilled in her at such an early age.

Abigail was nominated as "Vocalist of the Year" at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TX in 2016. She received the honor of playing on the Red Carpet at the awards show, an honor that few were bestowed. This year, she is nominated in 3 categories, "Artist of the Year," "Vocalist of the Year" and "Entertainer of the Year" at the Josie Music Awards. She has been a featured artist in the Texas music magazine "Bridge the Beats". She was described as an "up and comer" to keep an eye on in the country music scene. Abigail is the youngest artist to have ever played at Rodeo Austin and has had the privilege of sharing the stage at various events with artists such as Cory Morrow, Randy Rogers, Bri Bagwell, Rankin Twins, Aaron Watson, Wade Bowen, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager and Bobby Flores.

In her spare time, you can find Abigail writing songs, picking the guitar and spending time with family and friends. Currently working on releasing her next single, the future is bright for this Texas music singer. Her passion and devotion to country music will lead her career and will keep her fans wanting more.

The Festival is hosted by the Chappell Hill Historical Society, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of the community's history and historic buildings. The Society's goal is to stage a high-quality, fun show in the downtown National Historic District. Our town is located among some of the most scenic areas of Washington County and boasts friendly people and a casual lifestyle. The festival area is Main Street, Poplar Street, and the property behind the Visitor's Center.
